Top summer festival and activity picks from peeps in the know

This post is brought to you in partnership with Savvy + Co. Real Estate. All opinions are our own.

Summer in the Carolinas means outdoor activities galore! But with just so many hours in the day, what are the not-to-be-missed festivals that should be on your calendar reminder right now? To compile a list of fun activities and events for all members of the crew, we went to Savvy + Co. Real Estate agents.

This dedicated group of professionals live all over the Queen City -- and beyond -- so they know the neighborhoods and communities that make it a great place to live. We asked these agents to share which upcoming events are a must-do. In the moments between working tirelessly for buyers and sellers in this tough market, you might just spot them at their fave event. Be sure to say hello!

Music under the stars at Summer Pops at Symphony Park in June and July

Event details: Summer just isn't summer without a trip to Summer Pops at Symphony Park. Let the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra put the classical tunes into your Sunday Funday with "Star Wars: The Music" on June 16, "Best of Broadway" on June 23 and "Celebrate America!" on July 3 (be sure to stay for the fireworks). Shows start at 8:15 p.m. and gates open at 5 p.m., so plan to arrive early for a good seat to enjoy the tunes. You can also go VIP with a premium ticket package that includes a seat under a tent, box dinner and one parking spot. Perfect for date night, family time or friends night out!
Date: June 16 (Star Wars), June 23 (Best of Broadway) and July 3 (Celebrate America!)
Where: Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall
Why it's a can't miss: "I've been attending Pops in the Park since I moved here in the early 90's. It is always fun to meet friends for a night under the stars to enjoy classical music, as well as popular movie themes and a fantastic patriotic performance recognizing our armed forces ending with a beautiful fireworks display." -- Lynn Johnson, Savvy + Co.
