A blend of timeless classics and bold new works, the Classical series features your Charlotte Symphony, Music Director Christopher Warren Green, and guest conductors and artists from around the world. The Classical series has an inspiring mix or orchestral blockbusters each year ranging from Beethoven's Fifth to the internationally renowned Joshua Bell performing Brahms.
Enjoy the lighter side of the Charlotte Symphony with musical moments that will inspire a new way of listening to popular music and artists. Pops performances feature fan favorites and incredible guest artists, including the 20-year tradition of Magic of Christmas. From snow falling in the theater to Broadway hits, the Pops series is a perennial favorite of Charlotte audiences.
Introducing children to the joy of live symphonic music! The family series includes one-hour performances that engage all the senses all while learning about how an orchestra works. Before each concert there is a pre-concert festival for kids including performances by local ensembles, music related crafts, and a musical petting zoo an interactive, hands-on experience with orchestral instruments.

The Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra experience provides extraordinary music education in pursuit of musical excellence. The program aims to inspire in our students a strong sense of character, discipline, commitment, and community. Ensembles are inclusive, diverse, and accessible to all students, regardless of financial resources.
Link Up addresses the urgent need for music instruction by providing a free, high quality, year-long curriculum and classroom materials, and the professional development and support necessary to make the program an engaging experience for students. The Charlotte Symphony is one of more than 100 organizations presenting Link Up in partnership with Carnegie Hall's Weil Institute.
Project Harmony is social transformation through music. Free instruments, orchestra ensemble training and academic support for students from underserved neighborhoods, empowers them to become vital citizens, leaders, and agents of change. The program, in partnership with Arts+, serves Charlotte's Winterfield, Montclaire, Oaklawn, and West Sugar Creek neighborhoods and aims to serve 500 children by 2020.
This year, more than 3,800 fifth graders from 30 schools experienced the magic of a live orchestra in concert. These exciting programs explore where great orchestral music comes from and what it means to be a listener in the 21st century.
Music has myriad emotional benefits, especially for individuals who suffer from Alzheimer's disease and memory loss. At care facilities and community centers across Charlotte the CSO presents 45-minute concerts targeting patients with mild to moderate symptoms and their caregivers, incorporating learnings from similar programs presented by other American orchestras.
